Matthew Rolston on ANTM

I slept in forever today, but I was way overdue for a long sleep in. I watched America's Next Top Model again last night and they have really stepped it up in this cycle. Starting with a DVF show the first episode and shooting with Matthew Rolston only a few episodes in - "Matthew Rolston, if you don't know who he is, you're stupid" - Chris (one of the models) and she's damn right. It's incredible that they were able to add shots from Matthew Rolston to their portfolio so early on in the competition.
Again, this week Anne had the 'best' photo as chosen by the judges, but I really thought it should have been Esther...

Rhianna was sent home, with her and Liz in the final two and I'm glad Liz stayed. She does complain a lot, but she won the first challenge and her shots by Tyra were really great so hopefully she gets her shit together after being in the final two. But again this week, there was still quite a few really horrid shots especially Chelsey, who no doubt looked like a drag queen...

Again, if you don't know who Matthew Rolston is you're stupid but I'm sure most of you would have seen the recent Rolling Stone cover featuring the stars of True Blood which was shot by the man himself, Matthew Rolston

I haven't seen the show true blood, but I do read Rolling Stone and I really loved this cover.
Matthew has shot a lot on ANTM and also has a book titled "Beauty Light" which I think I'm going to look for tomorrow.

... and speaking of books and Americas Next Top Model, Nigel Barker has recently released the book he's been working on for some time "Nigel Barker's Beauty Equation" and in it, he features a section entitled "Honestly, I'm Not Gay" which touches on how there are plenty of straight men in the industry, and how he thinks that it's maybe because he's British or people can't handle the suit he wears that lead them to often think he's gay. I think I'll be scouring this book out tomorrow too...

This week has been incredibly hectic with mid terms, projects and finally doing my photoshoot with Alex, and next week isn't looking much easier. I have another mid term on Monday in fashion elements, part A of my final business entrepreneurship project due Tuesday and a quiz in wholesaling Wednesday. Followed by flying out hella early Thursday morning to head home for thanksgiving weekend and collect some clothes and accessories I left back home but am now desperately needing...

I'll be getting some money deposited tomorrow so I'll be doing some retail therapy, and I'll probably be posting my first haul video on my blog, so be ready for that.
